For more than 100 years, Friends University has been providing high-quality undergraduate and graduate education that incorporates liberal arts instruction within the context of the Christian faith and a Quaker heritage. Friends University is a private, independent university that is firmly committed to its central core - the arts and sciences. The main campus, located in Wichita, Kansas, is best known for the 77,500 square-foot Davis Administration Building with its clock tower seen throughout west Wichita. Two additional educational centers are located in Lenexa and Topeka.
At the undergraduate level, Friends University provides opportunities for high school students seeking the traditional college experience as well as degree-completion opportunities for working adults.
For graduating high school seniors, Friends University offers an excellent campus experience in a safe, nurturing environment. The 52-acre campus features a park-like atmosphere with state-of-the-art technology, laboratories and professors committed to teaching and learning. Friends University is the only private school in the region to offer bachelor's degrees in ballet and zoo science and is home to the internationally acclaimed Singing Quakers vocal performance group. Friends University offers more than 50 majors from accounting to zoo science. More than 15 athletic programs create an opportunity for many to participate at the intercollegiate level.
For working adults, Friends University has been providing opportunities for more than twenty years with both associate degree and bachelor degree options for completing their degree while working. Friends University is unique in that we understand demands placed on adults and our programs have been designed to fit busy lives. The College of Adult and Professional Studies currently offers eight bachelor degree options and an associate degree option for working adults.
Graduate degree programs at Friends University are offered through the Graduate School. Programs range from business and liberal arts programs to licensure-based programs. Unique programs include the Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy, the Master of School Leadership and the Master of Arts in Teaching (all requiring a licensure component to complete the program). The Graduate School currently offers 13 graduate programs.
