A unique structure
Unlike most retirement plan providers, Pentegra isn't owned or controlled by an investment management, mutual fund or insurance company. We're an independent cooperative, which means that our assets are used exclusively for the benefit of plan participants and their beneficiaries. Our independent, unbiased structure eliminates conflicts of interest, delivering a better bottom line and a more affordable retirement program for our customers.
Fiduciary role
We're a plan fiduciary as the ERISA-Named Plan Administrator and principal fiduciary for more than 700 of our clients that are part our $4 billion multiple employer defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Our policies, procedures and business practices are conducted with the highest level of integrity, and all of our plans are administered and managed according to these same high standards.
A retirement plan specialist
At Pentegra, retirement plans are our only business. We offer 401(k) and Defined Benefit Pension programs, ESOPs, KSOPs (including stock that is thinly traded) Profit Sharing, and Executive Benefit and Director programs. Our plans are managed by professionals including ERISA attorneys, Enrolled Actuaries, and Certified Retirement Plan Administrators.
