Warren Federal Credit Union
Our History:
In the early 1950's a group of Civilian Personnel met to form a credit organization. Warren Federal Credit Union was granted a federal charter on June 23, 1951. Desiring the benefits and services of credit unions, the small group found the initial start-up tough. Each member of the group was given a handful of passbooks to sell to other civilians at $5 each. Slowly, deposits began to mount and loan requests rolled in. Warren FCU continued to grow, doubling and tripling in size when its membership opened up to Military personnel and several select employee groups. Today, Warren FCU is a full service credit union with $ 180 million in assets serving over 25,000 members/owners with state-of-the-art services worldwide.
The Base Office (Building 218), once an old guard house at FE Warren Air Force Base, had its grand opening in November 1974. Previously the credit union office was in a building across the street. In June 2000, the Base branch was relocated to 5105 Randall Avenue, a more prominent and convenient location.
The Branch office at 114 E. 7th Avenue opened in January of 1984 and became the main office of the credit union. A small addition to the building was made in 1996 while an extensive renovation and expansion was completed in year 2001, enabling increased service and convenience for members.
The King Sooper's branch located at 3702 Dell Range Blvd opened in November 2002. This branch offered extended service hours to increase member service and made Warren FCU the first credit union to open a branch inside a grocery store in Wyoming.
The Dell Range Branch at 3810 Dell Range branch opened in April 2003 due to a high demand from our members in that area.
The Safeway branch located at 700 S. Greeley Hwy enabled Warren FCU to be even more convenient to members living across town. The second in-store branch was opened November 5, 2003.
Stephanie Teubner, a Cheyenne native, is the current President/CEO of Warren FCU. Stephanie has been employed by Warren FCU for the past 5 years in a number of capacities.
