Application Developer Manager

Description:
Affinity Consulting Group, Inc. - A leading provider of Professional and Technology Staffing Services is looking for a Application Developer Manager for one of our clients located here in South Florida.
Salary:

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage a team of software engineers to architect, design enterprise software applications.
• Supervise and actively participate in the design, implementation and unit test of software modules of all levels of complexity.
• Ensure that software development lifecycle processes are followed.
• Support of the engineering computing environment and tool set where necessary.
• Work closely with developers to design technical specifications and solution architectures from business requirements.
• Implement and track development timelines, schedules work and supervise team.
• Communicate project schedules, status, risks, and constraints to executive director of development.
• Liaise with Business Analyst during analysis and pre-analysis phase.
• Develop technical specifications from business requirements.
• Solve problems of considerable scope and complexity.
• Follow instructions written in specifications and delivered verbally, including refining and elaborating on requirements based on experience.
• Work closely with executive director of development and other project members as a team where necessary, and also work on own initiative where appropriate.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
• Minimum of Seven (7)+ years experience software development
• 4+ years in ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server database development
• 2+ years of solutions architecture.
• 2+ years of development management experience, Experience managing direct reports.
• Familiar with software algorithms, design patterns, and terminology.
• Familiar with principles of software architecture including service oriented architecture.
• Current knowledge or prepared and able to rapidly learn C#, ASP.NET, WCF, WF, SQL Server 2005, Visual Studio 2005, and BizTalk 2006.
Skills, Experience and Education Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information System or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Ability to work well with people and be a quick learner.
• Able to apply advanced software engineering principles, theories and concepts.
• Ability to stay focused and detail-oriented in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
