Warehouse Manager

Summary:
Directs 2nd shift warehousing activities for dry warehouse of 20+ employees. Responsible for order accuracy, productivity, and facility maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Establishes operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
Directs shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, and inventory control activities of warehouse.
Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment, and requests repairs when necessary.
Coordinates labeling schedule to meet order demands.
Ensures accuracy and timeliness of product shipments.
Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, inventory, sales, etc.
Coordinates annual fiscal inventory.
Oversees activities of forklift drivers.
Directs salvage of damaged or used material.
Participates in planning personnel safety and training activities.
Must be available for work as schedule demands and exhibit good attendance.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages two or more subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of ten or more employees in the Warehouse. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises ten or more non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office applciations; Internet
Explorer software; AS400 Infinium software.
