Job Details:
Citizen Power Initiatives for China seeks an Editor for a remote position to locate, enlist and coordinate contributors to Yibao in all parts of the world. Arrange for copyright permissions. Assist Editor-in-Chief to develop special issue ideas, considering reader or audience appeal. Assist Editor-in-Chief with reading, evaluating and editing manuscripts or other materials submitted for publication, and confer with authors regarding changes in content, style or organization. Research international news and assist Editor-in-Chief select stories to highlight. Review and revise publications in support of Citizen Power Initiatives for China’s goals.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in English, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, and experience as an Editor or a substantially similar position in all of the following: knowledge of China’s politics, economics, and international relations; promoting Asian and European education in China; organizing client meetings; managing education projects; supporting the internal management system; supporting the marketing strategy; supporting sales department; writing articles and publishing in self-media, including novels, essays, and social commentary; translating Chinese written documents into English; shooting and editing video content using Capcut software; text and video based social media; editing and publishing articles; and knowledge of education industry in China. Must be fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. Work from anywhere within the continental US permitted. Salary: $78,000.00-$88,000.00 per year.
