Classification: Part-time, Year Round

Reports to: Site Supervisor

Compensation: $19.40 - 23.92/hourly

About the Role:

The Before & After School Program Specialist is responsible for planning and teaching sequenced club-style lessons in after school settings for up to 15 youth, while helping manage day-to-day directives that support the overall health of the program and follow Office of Child Care (OCC) health and safety licensing guidelines. The Before & After School Program Specialist will strive to achieve youth development outcomes by engaging program participants in academic enrichment and support creative arts, active recreation, community building, community-based learning, social-emotional growth and leadership activities through a trauma-informed lens while partnering with district representatives in an ever-changing direct service climate with a specific focus on Spanish-speaking and/or Latinx families, students, and staff.

Job Duties:

  • Submit written lesson plans, community-based service learning plans and supply needs on a scheduled basis determined by site teams and leadership.
  • Work within school policies, confidentiality requirements and understand behavioral management referral systems.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in the field;

Or, one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and

experience.
