Job Summary:
CNA's provide compassionate personal care to patients at the end-of-life in the home setting, with their comfort as your top priority. Under the direction of a nurse case manager, CNA's follow the patient's care plan. Light housekeeping may be included in assigned duties.
Knowledge/Skills:
Hospice philosophy of care
Provides personal care of patients including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, eating, ambulating or toileting
Maintain a safe environment for the patient including food preparation, cleaning, laundry, changing bed linens and housekeeping
Maintain timely records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems in order to report and discuss observations with case manager
Qualifications:
High diploma or GED certificate
Current Arizona CNA certification
Current Adult CPR certification
Two years professional CNA experience; less considered, if hospice specific
Availability to be scheduled any day of the week
Ability to work overtime as requested by supervisor
Reliable transportation
