Managing Director - Audit

Description:
The role of Managing Director of Audit will be based in Wichita, Kansas. The successful candidate will be expected to establish the appropriate levels of financial control assurance for a business of INVISTA's scale and ownership structure.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Understand the business vision and align the audit capability to support the business vision.
* Aggregate and assess financial operations and business risk based on knowledge of controls, capabilities and competing priorities.
* Assess adequacy of financial control processes and capabilities.
* Develop the annual audit plan to maximize value and ensure risk concerns are identified and incorporated.
* Establish relationships with business leaders; periodically meet with them regarding areas of concern, progress, etc.
* Develop and continually upgrade audit team and develop future leadership talent.
* Develop and manage co-source audit provider and third party resources.
* Develop MBM understanding and application
Qualifications / Skill Set Required:
* We are seeking an exceptional candidate who is a certified public accountant preferably with a total of at least 12 years' experience including time with a top-tier audit firm and a blue-chip international business.
* He/she should preferably have a good understanding of business practices either in an asset intensive industry or in financial services and be adept at conducting working relationships with senior management. He/she will have significant influencing skills and possess the maturity and credibility to work with business leaders across a wide range of businesses.
* The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong strategic understanding of the commercial purpose of Compliance and Audit as well as apply these skills in due diligence efforts and review of valuation analyses of investment decisions. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to enlist and engage fellow management and professionals in a multi-national and multi-cultural environment, helping to cement an international management structure. He/she should have the ability to manage and influence the delivery of change within an organization.
* It is imperative that she/he identifies with, and operates within, the principles of INVISTA's culture. International experience would be a significant advantage, as would a significant level of ability in a second major language.
