Intellectual Property Coordinator - Patents

Description
We are looking to add an Intellectual Property Coordinator to the INVISTA Legal Patents team. In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for administrative support to intellectual property (IP) attorneys, agents, and legal assistants for the management/coordination of the IP estate for INVISTA's businesses.
- Through coordination with appropriate parties, respond to non-substantive requests from foreign agents, to include but not be limited to: authorization to pay fees; authorization to conduct substantive examination; requests for family / equivalent status; requests for examination reports, search reports, and cited art.
- Based on priority filing, file PCT Applications including electronic preparation of PCT Request Forms and Fee Sheet.
- Based on priority filing, file Foreign National applications in each designated country.
- Obtain certified copies of priority documents and prepare all formal papers for Foreign National and PCT applications including obtaining appropriate notarization, legalization and apostilles.
- With coordination of appropriate parties, determine requirement for Chapter I and II and prepare Demand and / or National Filings
- Perform EPO Validation
- Manage docket assigned to outside law firm
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- patent filing and prosecution proficiency to include both US, foreign ad PCT filing experience.
- experience with patent docketing and docketing systems
- strong sense of integrity, compliance and respect
- strong communication and prioritization skills
- ability to work closely with other coordinators and with attorneys while also balancing a certain degree of independence in the workflow.
- receptiveness to instruction and change
Experience & Skills Preferred:
- 5 years of patent filing and prosecution experience to include both US, foreign ad PCT filing experience.
- experience with the CPA patent docketing system and flexibility to adapt to other systems.
- copyright and/or trademark exposure
- strong computer skills
