Description
The primary role of this assignment is to develop, implement and lead processes to assess and improve employee relations, recruiting, and change implementation in a large manufacturing facility. Role will also provide leadership to improve training processes within the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure Employee Relations strategy is functioning to balance employee relations and business needs.
- Identify employee concerns and proactively address/resolve
- Ensure open communication with all employees, supervisors, and site staff
- Responsible for the recruitment of non-exempt positions. Manages the entire recruitment process from requisition generation, interview scheduling and coordination, screening, selection, offers, references, including new hire orientation and on-boarding process.
- Lead ad hoc and on-going teams to accomplish goals
- Strengthen site training systems by identifying gaps and providing leadership to implement change.
Required Education:
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Human Resources (HR Generalist or HR Manager) or supervision in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting and/or exceeding deadlines
- Ability to produce accurate, high quality work in a time-sensitive, fast paced environment
- Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- The ability to research and analyze various types of information
- Strong communication skills and proven success in communicating effectively with all levels
- Demonstrated ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to accomplish work
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams to accomplish goals
Preferred Education:
Bachelors Degree
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Recruiting experience
- Experience designing or improving training systems/processes
- Employee relations experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with HRIS databases
- PHR or SPHR certification
