Experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineer

We are looking for experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineers to join our top-notch team and provide support to clients in the San Francisco area and potentially across the country.
The Senior Pharmaceutical Process Engineer will have a minimum of seven years experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology industry. They must also have experience with solid dosage, sterile fill/finish, and lyophilization equipment. Qualified candidates must also be capable of setting process design standards and act as a project technical lead in a team environment. The position will be based in the San Francisco, CA area office and may also require project support both nationally and internationally.
Please note: This is a hands on delivery role, not an account management or business development role.
Job Skills/Requirements
Responsibilities include design and process development.
Knowledge of fermentation, cell culture and downstream processing, is essential.
Participate and/or manage engineering projects of varying scope and complexity.
Consult with clients regarding technical approaches to projects and recommend solutions to complex problems.
Job duties also include generating P&IDs and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), sizing and specifying equipment, start-up and troubleshooting.
Lead and/or participate in development of project execution plans including schedules, budgetary estimates, and staffing requirements.
Establish work-flow priorities for JM Hyde team and ensure project activities are completed within scheduled timeframes.
Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams, including clients various functional departments, design firm, construction management firm, and other consulting/ contracting groups.
Provide mentoring and support to staff pharmaceutical engineers on projects.
Manage client relationships in complex environments.
Assist JM Hyde Business Development team by identifying opportunities to cross-sell services at the supported client sites.
Ideal Requirements:
Experience managing projects and personnel. Must be able to self-direct and work effectively with others at all levels of an organization, including team members, clients, and other contracting groups.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Minimum 7-10 years of industry experience related to GMP drug manufacturing, process design, commissioning and qualification.
Deep understanding of manufacturing and regulatory compliance issues in Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology manufacturing.
BS degree or higher in related Engineering discipline, or significant related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD or equivalent.
Willingness to travel
