Description
With direct close supervision of a licensed physical therapist, administers optimal patient care by planning, organizing and implementing a physical therapy program including assessment, evaluation, documentation and treatment for individual patients referred by attending physician. All assessment and treatment media, approaches and techniques will be appropriate and specific to population served including general rehabilitation services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an APTA approved physical therapy assistant education program: successful completion of minimum of two months supervised fieldwork experience: successful completion of the licensure process for the physical therapy assistant. Greater that 1 year of practice experience as a PTA preferred.
Requirements: Must possess ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team. Assists with review of department and program policies and procedures. Assists with supervision/education of other staff. Current or temporary licensure or eligibility for licensure in South Carolina. CPR certification.
Hours: Per Diem, 1st shift 8- 4:30, variable, weekdays, weekends, holidays.
