SUMMARY:
The Education Assistant splits his or her time among quality assurance, captioning, external public relations, and K-12 articulations. These tasks are accomplished by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Testing Systems software applications and catalog products as assigned
Using a database to caption audio and video files in multimedia software
Assisting with production of instructional videos based on scripts provided by curriculum specialist(s)
Merging audio and video files
Maintaining Module version updates
Organizing and filing materials in the Education library
Assisting with K-12 Articulation projects
Researching and creating content standards spreadsheets for correlations
Assisting with External Public Relations projects
Assisting in distributing press releases and news features
Assisting the Teacher Education Coordinator, as needed
Mailing workshop notebooks
Mailing workshop photos
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 60 hours of college credit in field related to education or public relations
Ability to work with top management
Conscientious, detailed-oriented worker who is self-motivated
Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks
Professional with strong written and verbal communication skills
High level of computer literacy and computer skills (including ability to work in Access and Excel)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in a general office setting
