Location:
This person will work out of their home in or around the Racine Wisconsin Area.
Primary Purpose
Provides risk control services by offering consultation services and technical assistance to agents, underwriters, insureds, and home office staff in accordance with departmental and company guidelines and standards.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
· Provides risk control services to customers’ needs by conducting safety surveys or consultations; investigating exposures or accidents; analyzing risk experience; assisting insureds in maintaining safety, health and loss control programs.
· Manages workload by planning, scheduling, and completing work.
· Ensures customer service by providing information and technical assistance as needed; responding to specific requests.
· Provides management with various reports by compiling weekly activity information and actual activity performance information using appropriate systems provided by company.
· Meets the needs of the customers by planning and presenting risk control education programs when necessary.
· Confirms risk control services by gaining authority to take action.
· Solves customer risk control problems by contacting the agency producer or company management for solutions.
· Prepares for presenting risk control services to prospective customers and insureds by gathering information; consulting with Underwriting.
Qualifications
Required: · 3+ years of risk/loss control experience in the insurance industry
· Bachelor’s degree in safety or related
· Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record as determined by Society Insurance
Preferred:
· Continued education in related field and/or ASP, CSP, CLCS, ALCM, CRM or ARM
· Demonstrated knowledge of general office equipment (computer, telephone, calculator, and fax machine)
· Exposure and/or use of a heat gun, roller wheel, and diagramming software
