Accounting Manager for Society of Decorative Painters, a non-profit international organization with over 21,000 members world-wide supporting and serving as a resource for decorative painting. The Society publishes a magazine, has a certification program and hosts a convention.
Responsibilities include general accounting through financial statements, cost accounting, taxes, budgets, payroll, human resources and purchasing. Supports staff and board with financial information. Familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices and procedures. Operates in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), approved budgets and policies of the current Board of Directors. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks requiring flexibility and attention to detail. Leads and directs the work of others.
