The University of Arkansas is a land grant college located in Fayetteville, a city of 58,000. Enrollment is approximately 19,000; the Department of Music has 30 full-time faculty, 8 part-time faculty, and 300 undergraduate and 25 graduate students. Degrees offered include the BA in Music, the BM in Music Education, Performance, Composition, and Theory; and the MM with a variety of emphases. All degree programs are accredited by NASM. Annual Salary:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with credentials of candidate.
Minimum Requirements:
PhD required for tenure-track appointment; ABD considered. Record and promise of outstanding teaching and research.
Job Duties:
Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in historical musicology to undergraduate and graduate students, and maintaining an active and visible research program.
