Responsibilities: Working with Client Operations, Engineering, and Information Technology staff to develop and evaluate business and system requirements, specifications, applications, and implementation.
Work with the same groups to implement off the shelf applications to support Operation initiatives and implement business efficiencies.
Recommend and implement, automated system solutions to resolve business issues. Responsibilities would include developing the specification, documenting the system design, managing the project, implementation and training.
Work closely with key users to identify business needs and analyze the costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution. Develop information technology design definitions based on identified needs of operations. Devise and document a general system design based on the anticipated requirements.
The business systems analyst may need to design customizations for the Oracle ERP software systems, Product Data Management systems or other system used by operations.
Apply technical knowledge and standards of databases, system analysis, design and application development to develop and Implement business information systems.
Analyze, design and document process flows for worldwide operations; including training end users.
Position Requirements: Education requirements:
Bachelors or Master in Computer Science. Will substitute a degree in another program with the right work experience and skills.
Experience requirements (years):
7 years experience in system design and implementations. 7 years experience in an electronics manufacturing and distribution environment.
Skill Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communications. Capable of self starting with minimal instruction. Ability to look at the big picture and develop forward looking strategies. Reporting capability with SQL.
Other requirements:
Demonstrated understanding of Engineering and Manufacturing change processes such as Engineering Change Orders, product lifecycle management, and supporting systems such as Agile, Oracle and/or Windchill. Demonstrated experience with integrating a PDM and ERP system. Systems implementation experience with business processes such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay and Manufacturing, preferably in an Oracle ERP environment.
