Summary:
Web Yoga is currently seeking a Jr. Developer with HelpDesk Support Experience for our client in Dayton, Ohio.  This is a contract to hire position, where the client will hire you full time permanently to their company once the 3/6 month contract concludes.  Please take a moment to look over the details of the position, and if this looks like something that you would be interested in, please send a copy of your most recent resume. Job Overview:
This job includes distributed server application technical support and micro-development.  Will be on-call to support several web and client/server applications.  Proven communication skills and technical skills are required.

Work Experience Desired:
Candidate must have at least one year of experience in a help desk or equivalent position.  A background in programming is required - this may include college classes, personal experience, or work experience.   Development will be performed using SQL, VB, JavaScript, ASP, C#, and ASP.NET.

Core Job Responsibilities:
1. Customer focus, thorough communications.  Requests will be communicated in person, via email, or through phone calls.  All requests need to be acknowledged and managed as soon as possible.  Customer satisfaction is our primary goal.

2. Coordination of work.  Many tasks require the help of other people within IT and the business.  The application support team is responsible to coordinate the work and to ensure the successful completion of it. This includes managing internal change requests, phone and email requests, and Remedy requests from the MOC help desk.

3. Micro Development and Break/Fix.  Development will be performed using SQL, VB, JavaScript, ASP, C#, and ASP.NET.  Development mentoring will be available for the support analyst; however, past programming experience is desired. A majority of the Application Support Specialist's time will be spent in this area.

4. Packaging and testing.  Business clients often require IT to package software so that they can download it from the software catalog.  Quality Assurance is becoming a focus for the this division; the support team is used to help test apps at the unit, integration, and certification levels. 

5. Supports the system directly by assisting users, troubleshooting technical issues, and writing scripts and reports

Helpful Skills and Abilities:
* Must be comfortable juggling many things in an environment of constantly changing priorities
* Must be organized and able to tracks lots of little moving parts
* Experience with team leadership, task management, and priority management is a plus.
* Strong Troubleshooting skills are required.
