Our client, is looking for a business-savvy, team member who will focus a majority of her/his time assisting in the preparation of contractual provisions and the administration of contract proposals. This involves reviewing materials for bids or contracts and preparing/negotiating specifications with vendors, staff, partners, or customers. The work is both independent and collaborative in nature. Work with leaders within the organization to analyze and solidify an overall contract strategy
Coordinate actions with legal team, as needed
Provide cradle-to-grave contracts management, which includes pre-award contract support, post-award administration, modification, renewal, extension, compliance, and closing activities, as needed
Create language standards and rules for existing and new contracts and resolve contract conflicts
Report status of current contract processes to management
Serve as liaison between internal and external parties during contract development and negotiation stages
Negotiate terms and conditions on Member Reporting Service Agreements (MRSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Subcontracts, and all other contract-related matters
Proactively maintain contract compliance with company policies, government laws and regulations, consistent with industry best practices.
Evaluate solicitations, advise, and provide interpretation regarding terms and conditions, contractual rights and obligations, risks and mitigations
Prepare and distribute invoices as well as record all contract transactions in QuickBooks
Maintain detailed and organized files for each contract which will include original contract, all correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications, authorizations, and payment schedules
Analyze potential risks that contract changes may pose to organization to ensure that contractor is in compliance with legal requirements, owner specifications, and government regulations
Prepare contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy
Facilitate contractor meetings and disseminate information to appropriate employees regarding contract status
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing or administrating contract or bids for an organization or paralegal experience reporting directly to senior management
- Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field such as mathematics, economics, accounting or paralegal
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office skills with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with proven multi-tasking abilities
