Job Location: Denver, Colorado Job Type: Full Time/Regular
Description:
An engineer is required to support the aggressive development of producing assets in the Piceance and Powder River Basins. The successful candidate will be a member of the Gas Management Engineering Team and work closely with the each asset's operating organizations in Denver, Parachute and Gillette. This individual will assist in the long range planning, designing and optimization of existing and future gathering systems, gas processing, and gas transportation facilities.
Specific duties will include:
* Making recommendations to the asset team that will optimize gas production and value,
* Recommending timely expansions so that inclining gas production is not constrained,
* Developing and maintaining various engineering computer models and spreadsheets to plan for and optimize the expanding infrastructure,
* Generating conceptual engineering designs for commercial and operational natural gas gathering and processing projects,
* Developing and maintaining system planning maps using GIS,
* Coordination of pipeline takeaway capacity from company facilities,
* Exploring opportunities to efficiently gather and process third party gas,
* Providing engineering support for commercial activities
Salary will be commensurate with experience level
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum engineering is required. At least 5 years experience in upstream producing operations, gas gathering, compression, dehydration, amine treating and gas processing is required. Experience with Process simulation software such as HYSYS and Gas Gathering System Analysis software such as Fekete F.A.S.T Piper is a big plus.
